Over the last 20 years, legacy, regional, and local newsrooms have drastically eliminated arts and culture reporters and coverage, which has led to a dearth of art writing across the country. 

 

Regional Art Publishers (RAP) is a collective of regional contemporary arts media platforms across the United States that are uniquely embedded and are committed to telling the stories of our communities through accessible writing grounded by responsive, local, and personal perspectives. We uplift diverse voices by supporting networks of art writers through every stage of their careers, from emerging to established. 

 

Together, our organizations are developing new models for sustainability in the field.
